  • What is a "Fractional" CMO?
A Fractional Chief Marketing Officer, or FCMO, is a senior-level marketing strategist that you can engage in a fractional arrangement. Think of it like leasing a horse. Since you don't "own" the horse, you don't pay 100% of the expenses. Instead, you share those expenses with other people but you get to use the horse for a predetermined amount of time. It's the same with a fractional CMO. You get access to C-suite talent at a fraction of the cost. Learn more.
  • Who should consider hiring a Fractional CMO?
This type of arrangement works really well for companies with revenues between $5-$50M because you don't really need a strategist full-time. A full-time CMO costs close to $200K and will only spend about 25% of their time focused on strategy. The rest of the time, they'll probably be doing tactical work that could be done for a considerably smaller salary. A Fractional CMO will drive results by focusing on marketing leadership, strategy, management, and accountability. If you are looking for someone who will get a lot of stuff done, you want an in-house marketing director.
  • Can you do EPIC Leadership workshops remotely?
Ideally, I conduct EPIC Leadership workshops in person because the entire point is to receive feedback on your leadership from the horses. However, a remote demonstration may be arranged. And, I can conduct EPIC Leadership workshops anywhere there is an arena, but will need at least 4 horses for a full-day workshop.
  • What is the RACI Model?
RACI is an acronym for Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed. In a RACI workshop, we'll identify all the tasks that need to be done by the various members of your leadership team. Then, as a group, we'll identify who is responsible, accountable, consulted, or informed, for each of those tasks. Typically, the RACI Model is used to help define roles for a specific project, but it can also be very effective in streamlining the activities of a young management team.
